Canlyniadau TGAU 2019

Hoffwn longyfarch holl ddisgyblion a staff Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg ar ganlyniadau TGAU rhagorol eleni – dyma ganlyniadau gorau’r ysgol ers sawl blwyddyn. Yn dilyn canlyniadau Safon Uwch gwych yr wythnos ddiwethaf braf yw nodi bod 80% o ddisgyblion yr ysgol wedi llwyddo i sicrhau’r Trothwy Lefel 2+ (5 TGAU gan gynnwys Cymraeg neu Saesneg, Mathemateg a’r Fagloriaeth Gymraeg) sef cynnydd o 12.6% pwynt canran ers 2018. Braf hefyd yw nodi bod 31.6% o’r garfan (cynnydd o 1.2 pwynt canran) wedi llwyddo i ennill pump neu fwy o raddau A*/A gan gynnwys Mathemateg a Saesneg neu Gymraeg, a bod 87.1% o ddisgyblion (cynnydd o 2.1 pwynt canran) wedi ennill 5 neu fwy o gymwysterau Lefel 2 sy’n dyst i holl ymdrechion yr adrannau a’r disgyblion. Testun balchder i ni fel ysgol yw bod pob un disgybl yn gadael â chymhwyster. Mae disgyblion o bob gallu wedi llwyddo ac maent yn haeddu dathlu eu cyflawniad.

Ymhlith y nifer sylweddol o ddisgyblion a serennodd oedd y canlynol:

GCSE Results 2019

I wish to congratulate all pupils and staff of Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg on the excellent GCSE results announced today – these are the best results for several years. Following an excellent set of A level results last week, it is with pleasure that I announce that 80% of pupils gained the Level 2+ (5 GCSEs including Welsh or English and Mathematics), an improvement of 12.6 % points since 2018. It is pleasing to note that 31.6% of the cohort (improvement of 1.2 percentage points) achieved 5 or more A* / A grades which included Mathematics and English or Welsh, whilst 87.1% of pupils gained 5 or more Level 2 qualifications (Improvement of 2.1 percentage points).  This is testimony to the endeavours of the departments and diligence of the pupils. We are extremely pleased that every pupil will leave the school this year with a qualification. Pupils of all abilities have succeeded and deserve to celebrate their success.
